Overview:

The Pallet Tracking System was designed to help users efficiently track their products, stock movements, and related customer information. It aimed to simplify processes that users were previously managing manually with Excel, reducing human errors by moving everything to a web-based platform. The system allows users to easily manage both active and passive products, track stock movements, and generate detailed reports for the processes they monitor.

Problems I Aimed to Solve:

One of the biggest challenges of the project was moving the processes users performed in Excel to a more efficient platform. Stock movements and product information tracked through Excel became increasingly complex over time and prone to errors. To make these processes more organized and transparent, we needed to provide users with a solution that allowed them to better manage both their products and stock movements.

To speed up users' workflows and simplify management, we also integrated a reporting feature. This enabled users to track their processes and generate reports whenever needed.

Design Process:

In the system design, I focused on creating a user-friendly interface. The goal was to provide a simple yet functional interface where users could easily track their products, stock movements, and customer data. However, the limitations imposed by the low-code structure presented a significant challenge. This setup made it difficult to implement certain customizations.

Another challenge I faced was the need to display a large amount of data on a single screen. As a result, I had to plan the screen design carefully and create a clear visual hierarchy to ensure that users could quickly understand the information. Despite these challenges, I succeeded in designing an effective and functional solution with a strong emphasis on user experience.

Conclusion:

Tracking System enabled users to manage both their stock and product movements more effectively. Compared to using Excel, it provided a more organized, reliable, and faster solution, optimizing users' workflows. From a design and user experience perspective, we transformed complex data into a more manageable format, enhancing operational efficiency while making process monitoring and reporting functions more accessible.

What I Learned ?

This project taught me how important it is to solve complex problems through design and adapt to constraints while prioritizing the user experience. The challenge of transitioning users from a manual, Excel-based system to a more efficient web-based platform showed me the critical need to balance simplicity with functionality. I especially learned the importance of displaying large amounts of data clearly and understandably.

The limitations of the low-code environment underscored the importance of flexibility and creative problem-solving. While technical constraints made certain customizations difficult, I realized that a well-thought-out design can still deliver a functional and user-friendly solution.
